~~NEW~~ ringOs Row Counter ~ Daisy Chain
A ringOs Daisy Chain inspired row counter to help you keep track of your rows while knitting!
You can count up to 100 rows with this pretty and easy to use row counter using the ringOs and the detachable charm. Ten ringOs joined together with a clasp on number one which allows you to attach the counter to a bag or key-chain and a beautiful daisy non-detachable charm at the bottom to identify number 10. The fifth ringO is marked with two beads as an extra visual aid. A second detachable charm, made with white and yellow crystals, allows you to count on after row ten.
This ringOs Row Counter is made using my standard ringOs size rings and will fit knitting needles up to 4mm/US6.
Comes in a labelled ringOs Row Counter tin.
HOW TO USE
Rows 1-10 ~ Knit a few stitches into your first row then starting at ringO one (the one with just a clasp) slide the counter on to your needles and carry on knitting to the end of your row. Start your second row, when you get to the counter, slip it to ringO two and knit to the end of the row. Start your third row, when you get to the counter slip it to ringO three. Carry on in this manner until you have completed ten rows and your counter is placed on your needles on ringO ten (the one with the non-detachable charm).
Rows 11-20 ~ Start knitting your eleventh row, when you get to the counter slip it back to ringO one. (Your row counter will now stay in this ringO until you get to row 21.) Remove the detachable charm (the one with the clasp) from ringO ten and attach it to ringO one to show you are now knitting your eleventh row, carry on knitting to the end of the row. Start your twelfth row by either moving the detachable charm down to ringO two at the start of the row or by knitting to the counter and then moving the detachable charm down to ringO two when you get to it. This is a personal preference. Start your thirteenth row by knitting to the counter and moving the detachable charm down to ringO three. Carry on in this manner until you reach row 20. You can tell you are at row 20 as your detachable charm will have returned to ringO ten at the bottom.
Rows 21-30 ~ Start knitting your twenty-first row, when you get to the counter slip it down to ringO two (Your row counter will now stay in this ringO until you get to row 31.) Remove the detachable charm (the one with the clasp) from ringO ten and attach it to ringO one to show you are now knitting your twenty-first row, carry on knitting to the end of the row. Start your twenty-second row by either moving the detachable charm down to ringO two at the start of the row or by knitting to the counter and then moving the detachable charm down to ringO two when you get to it. Again, this is a personal preference. Start your twenty-third row by knitting to the counter and moving the detachable charm down to ringO three. Carry on in this manner until you reach row 30. You can tell you are at row 30 as your detachable charm will have returned to ringO ten at the bottom.
Carry on in this way, only moving the ringO on the needles when you get to the next row after a multiple of ten. This will continue to show you which multiple of ten you are on along with the detachable charm being moved each row as you knit. For example, row 24 (see extra photo) is show by the ringO two being on the needles and the detachable charm being on ringO four. If you were on row 59 then ringO five (the one with two beads) would be on your needle and the detachable charm would be on ringO nine. If you were on row 87 then ringO eight would be on your needle and the detachable charm would be on ringO seven.
